One of my favourite places in the world is the sand dunes of Sandy Point on the Dampier Peninsula, WA, and a sunset from the dunes is an essential ... which is where I took the shot that inspired the creation.
The feathers represent the shot of cloud through the sunset and the crossed and stitched braiding, hilariously, the number of times we've run up, down and across the dunes over time.
